Matt McGuire, AKA Keylow, is a Detroit-born DJ and producer with a deep love for bass. He began his musical journey in the Detroit scene and quickly found his passion in DJing and production. Keylow's style is fast, groovy, and bassy, influenced by trap and hip-hop. His unique sound can be characterized as Detroit-Techno-Breaks-House.
After immersing himself in the dance music scene and forming a duo, Keylow pursued a degree in Audio Engineering in London, Ontario. Armed with new skills, he started producing music across various genres, always seeking fresh sounds to incorporate into his sets.
Keylow's talent caught the attention of renowned Detroit techno legend Justin James, leading to opportunities like playing at album release parties. He opened shows for esteemed artists such as G-rex, The Killabits, and Grandtheft, leaving a lasting impression in the underground music scene.
In search of new inspiration and a more bass-influenced sound, Keylow made the bold move to Vancouver, British Columbia. Surrounded by a thriving music community, he refined his productions, blending elements from his past experiences.
Currently based in Vancouver, Keylow continues to evolve his craft and explore new musical territories. He is dedicated to producing fresh tunes and is preparing to release his latest creations. Alongside his music career, Keylow also contributes his expertise in audio engineering to the community that has supported him. With his unwavering passion and determination, Keylow is poised to make a lasting impact on the music industry, one bass-heavy track at a time.
